Just watched The Power of the Dog on Netflix. One of this year's Oscar nominated films is a slow burn that builds to an ending that you don't see coming. It happens so fast and then you're like, what just happened? Ah... that just happened!

I had low expectations regarding how good this new comedy caper would be. The fact that Steve Martin and Martin Short are starring in it, and that Steve Martin is one of its creators, really appealed to me.
I love that the comedy isn’t presented with canned laughter tracks, and that the laughs range from subtle to obvious without making you roll your eyes too much. Yes, not too much!
Plus there is murder mystery to figure out, with a few twists, turns and surprises for the viewers.
If you’re looking for a light, fun to watch, who done it with a great cast, Only Murders in The Building is definitely for you.
