Wonderful news for The Cat's Meow Las Cruces

We are pleased to announce a generous lifesaving investment of $5,000 received in 2025 from national nonprofit Petco Love. These funds were used to provide spay/neuter for 50 cats in Dona Ana County, and to purchase respiratory vaccines which are vitally important for the health and well-being of young kittens as well as older cats. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Petco Love in 2026!

New Mexico Foundation Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue

A Huge Thank You To for the generous donation to our team for a new Communications Team truck. This truck will be outfitted with comms equipment to be a stand alone unit and/or will be able to haul our larger Communications trailer as well.
We can't do what we do without the support of organizations like The New Mexico Foundation and all the other organizations and individuals that support us.

We had a challenging-but-successful 2025! We rescued 158 more animals than the year prior!! We have rescued 6812 animals to date!!!
Thanks to ALL who make our work possible--dedicated staff, volunteers, donors, grantors, thrift store staff/supporters, rescue partners here and in Albuquerque, the shelter, our veterinarians and their staff, and those who share our information with others. All of these elements are needed to run a facility caring for up to 100 animals 24/7/365.

Your continued support is needed in 2026. The biggest need we have is for more in our community to become APA Recurring Donor Heroes in any amount your budget allows--be it monthly, quarterly, or yearly. We are still not in great financial shape. One big building or other emergency can send us into freezing intake and going into emergency operations.
