I saw you gently weeping as you looked through photographs
You paused for just a moment at one that made you laugh.
But as you turned more pages the tears began to flow
You whispered that you missed me but I want you to know;
I softly licked those stinging tears that down your cheeks did fall
I want to help you understand I haven’t left at all.
On those days that you are overcome with sorrow, pain and grief
I rest my head upon your leg to offer some relief.
When you take our walking path I’ve seen you turn around
Because I know you surely heard my paws upon the ground.
At night while you are sleeping I snuggle at your side
You stroke my fur as you touch that place where I used to lie.
You said it’s just your heart playing tricks upon your mind
But rest assured I’m really there, my spirit’s left behind.
I know your heart is hurting; it’s like an open sore
You think my life has ended and you won’t see me anymore.
But for those of us bound tight by love, death is not the curtain call;
It’s really the eternal beginning that waits for us all
So, dear Master as you live your life I patiently await
For us to be together when you pass through Heaven’s gate.

In 1964 a group of high school kids skipped class to go see the Beatles. They didn’t get into the concert but while they were driving Ringo pulled up beside them and snapped their picture. Fast forward 50 years and Ringo publishes a book of his photographs and they were in it. The group reunited and recreated the shot half a century later.

Burning Burgers
The smell of smoke filled the backyard, and Kyle knew something was wrong. Not just a little “oops, I overcooked it” wrong, but full-blown fire alarm wrong. He turned around just in time to see flames licking the edge of the grill, the burgers inside charred beyond recognition.

"Not again!" he groaned, grabbing a water bottle and squeezing it onto the flames. The sizzling sound was oddly satisfying, but it did little to calm his nerves.

From the patio, his best friend Jake doubled over in laughter. "Dude, you have one job—not to set the food on fire!"

Kyle scowled. "It’s the grill! This thing has a mind of its own."

"Or maybe," Jake smirked, "you should stop getting distracted by texting your crush while cooking."

Kyle's face burned almost as much as the burgers. He had, in fact, been sneakily texting Emily, the cute new neighbor who had just moved in next door. She had agreed to come over for the barbecue, and now, thanks to his legendary bad luck, he was about to serve her blackened hockey pucks instead of juicy burgers.

As if on cue, Emily strolled into the backyard, the sun catching the highlights in her hair. "Wow, something smells… crispy," she teased, wrinkling her nose.

Kyle scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah, uh, minor setback. Totally fixable."

She peeked at the disaster on the grill and raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure about that?"

Jake, still laughing, tossed Kyle a pack of fresh patties. "Maybe let Emily handle the cooking before we all end up eating charcoal?"

To Kyle’s surprise, Emily grinned. "Actually, I do make a mean burger."

Kyle stepped aside, watching as Emily took control, flipping the new patties like a pro. In minutes, the air was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of properly cooked burgers instead of the acrid stench of burnt ones.

As they sat down to eat, Jake nudged Kyle and whispered, "Dude, she just saved your entire cookout. Marry her."

Kyle rolled his eyes, but as he watched Emily laugh and chat with his friends, he had to admit—burning burgers had never worked out so well before.

We were looking at buying a new house several years ago. The house was vacant since the couple was getting divorced and they had both already gotten smaller houses. When we got to the backyard there was an aging yellow labrador retriever that looked to be at least 11–12 years old. The food bowl was empty and the water bowl had been turned over. We used the water bottles that the kids had and filled her water bowl. She followed us around the backyard. Once we were ready to go back into the house, the dog whined and didn’t want us to leave. She stood on her hind legs and barked over the fence as we drove away as if begging us not to leave her.
We contacted the real estate agent about the dog. She said that the places that the family bought don’t allow dogs and that the dog had been abandoned by the family at the house. I was shocked. My kids didn’t sleep much that night. We went back the next day to see the house again and the food bowl was still empty and the water bowl was empty. We brought the dog food and water and she gobbled it down and drank all the water. Unlike the prior day, rather than following us around the yard, she hunkered down in a hole she had dug under the house to take shelter. As we were leaving this time, she didn’t come to the fence, she simply had given up. The neighbors from next door came out and said that the family had not been there in days. It would appear that they were starving the dog to death and they were about to call the police.
I called the real estate agent and told them I wouldn’t buy the house if it was the last house on the planet, but I would be taking their dog. If they don’t deliver the dog to me in 24 hours I will call the police. They contacted me and agreed to deliver the dog. We took her to the vet; she was deaf, terribly malnourished, and very sick. We spent close to $7,000 on helping her get back into shape. She lived with my family for about a year and a half and died at age 14 when she failed to recover from major surgery and had to be put down. She was a fighter until the end even when being put to sleep. She never gave up and we never gave up on her. She was a great dog and my kid's lives were enriched by saving a great dog. The thing about dogs that are rescued, they always remember they were rescued and have a fierce loyalty and appreciation for it.
Here she is making herself at home snuggled up with my youngest son.

When I was in high school, I had a teacher who caused a big scene in class and made everyone go into the hallway because something smelled in the room. I didn’t realize my boots were covered in cow manure from checking my trap line before school. She made a big deal out of it, stopped the class, and told me to go to the office to ask for a new pair of shoes. Instead, I just walked out and got in my truck and left.
If I had been any other kid in that class, I would have been really embarrassed, but I didn’t care. It was clear she didn’t understand my life or where I came from. I often wonder how that teacher is doing now.
With all the food shortages and high prices lately, I’m really grateful for how I was raised—hunting, growing, and raising my own food. What you’re seeing here is my 1950’s 8-foot freezer, passed down through my family, and it's full of beef, pork, deer, rabbit, chicken, fish, and pretty much every kind of meat you can think of. For the average person shopping at a store, this would probably be worth $2,000 or more if you could even find it. I’ve only spent money on packaging.
I’m not sharing this to brag, but to raise awareness that during tough times, the guy with the beat-up truck and muddy boots isn’t so bad.
Next time someone asks to hunt on your land, maybe trade some deer meat with them. Don’t bash hunters who are "killing innocent animals." The truth is, hunters respect the animals they hunt more than slaughterhouses ever will, and the meat is as organic as it gets when it's from the woods.
Instead of complaining about the rooster crowing in your neighbor’s backyard, ask them to buy some eggs. They’ll probably give you a dozen for free.
Support local farmers! Buy from farmers markets because they often know how to butcher and package their meat. You’re getting clean, chemical-free meat.
Teach your kids how to grow a garden. Teach them how to care for animals. Take them fishing! If you don’t know how, YouTube can help. That cousin of yours who’s all about hunting seasons? It’s time to buy him some ammo and ask for help teaching your kids about it. They’d love to show your kids how to hunt and maybe even watch them harvest their first animal.
We just need to be kinder to each other. Stop acting like you’re better than others. Help your neighbors, ask for help, do your research, and let’s stop depending on the government so much. You’ve got this—get up and do it yourself!

Adam Lambert, the rockstar with a voice powerful enough to shatter glass and a spine of steel, just proved he’s not here for anyone’s nonsense. During a high-energy performance of Cabaret, he suddenly stopped the show dead in its tracks when an audience member crossed the line. Never one to shy away from speaking his mind, Lambert called them out in front of the entire crowd. The room fell silent, the tension was thick, and for a moment, it felt like the world had stopped spinning. But with a mic in his hand and fire in his eyes, he made one thing crystal clear: Respect is non-negotiable.

It’s a special night, I feel it. My human and I are at the airport, and there are so many lights, sounds and smells. But I sit calmly here in my blue vest, ready to do my job. I’m not just any dog. I’m a therapy dog, and this flight is a mission.
People around me smile when they see me. Some people stop to gently caress me, and I can see their stress go away for even a moment. That’s why I’m here. Airports can be overwhelming, noisy and stressful, but I am a source of calm. That’s my role.
My human guides me, but I know we are a team. When he climbs the plane’s steps, I follow him, my tail gently wagging. I know I’m about to bring comfort to someone up there at 30,000 feet. And no matter where we go or how long it takes, I’m proud. I’m proud to know that I help make someone’s life better.
Planes, airports, lights don’t really matter to me. What matters is being there, present, for those who need me. And tonight, that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

*Little House on the Prairie* Season 4 (1977-1978) deepens the emotional richness of the series, continuing the journey of the Ingalls family as they face both personal and community challenges in the small frontier town of Walnut Grove. This season brings more complex storylines, focusing on the strength of family, friendship, and perseverance, while also tackling difficult themes like loss, hardship, and growing up.

The season kicks off with a gripping arc involving a severe drought that threatens the town’s survival, underscoring the tight-knit nature of the community as the Ingalls family, alongside their neighbors, work together to overcome the crisis. The show’s ability to weave societal struggles into intimate family moments remains one of its most endearing qualities, allowing viewers to feel both the weight of the struggles and the warmth of the bonds between characters.

Laura (Melissa Gilbert) continues to mature, transitioning from a young girl to an adolescent grappling with the complexities of friendship, love, and her role in the family. This season also explores the dynamic between Laura and her father, Charles (Michael Landon), as he guides her through these formative years, while Caroline (Karen Grassle) remains the pillar of love and support for the family.

One of the highlights of this season is its balance of drama and lightheartedness. Episodes like "The Handyman" offer humor and charm, while others dive into more somber topics, creating a rich emotional tapestry. The introduction of new characters and situations keeps the show fresh, while still holding onto the timeless themes that made it so beloved.

Season 4 of *Little House on the Prairie* is a compelling mix of heart, humor, and the everyday struggles of life, making it an unforgettable chapter in the series’ legacy.

Top fantastic actor Melissa Sue Anderson and Melissa Gilbert in Little House on the Prairie (1974) fantastic performance 😍😍❤

"Little House on the Prairie" (1974-1983) featured the remarkable talents of Melissa Gilbert and Melissa Sue Anderson, who portrayed the beloved Ingalls sisters, Laura and Mary. Gilbert, cast at age nine as Laura "Half-Pint" Ingalls, brought an infectious energy and natural charm to her character, perfectly capturing Laura's spirited nature and determination. Anderson, as the elder sister Mary, portrayed her character with a graceful maturity and quiet strength that created a perfect contrast to Gilbert's more energetic performance. Their on-screen dynamic as sisters helped anchor the series, with both young actresses demonstrating acting abilities well beyond their years.
One of the most powerful storylines in the series centered on Mary's journey to blindness, where Melissa Sue Anderson delivered an extraordinarily nuanced performance that earned widespread acclaim. Anderson's portrayal of Mary's transition from a sighted person to someone learning to navigate life without vision was both sensitive and powerful. Meanwhile, Melissa Gilbert's Laura evolved from being merely a mischievous younger sister to becoming Mary's primary support system, with Gilbert skillfully portraying Laura's growth into a more responsible and empathetic character through this challenging period.
The contrasting personalities of the sisters, brought to life by these talented young actresses, created much of the series' emotional depth. Gilbert excelled at showing Laura's impulsive, sometimes rebellious nature, while Anderson portrayed Mary's more reserved, studious character with convincing authenticity. Their scenes together demonstrated a natural sisterly chemistry, whether sharing moments of triumph, dealing with sibling rivalry, or supporting each other through hardships. The actresses' ability to portray this complex relationship helped make the show relatable to viewers of all ages.
Throughout the series' run, both actresses matured alongside their characters, handling increasingly complex storylines with remarkable skill. Gilbert's Laura became the heart of the show, with her character's journey from childhood to young adulthood forming the series' central narrative. Anderson's portrayal of Mary provided many of the show's most dramatic moments, particularly in episodes dealing with her character's resilience in the face of adversity. Their performances helped elevate "Little House on the Prairie" beyond typical family entertainment, tackling serious themes like disability, prejudice, and personal growth with sensitivity and depth. The genuine warmth and authenticity both actresses brought to their roles contributed significantly to the show's lasting impact on television history and its continued relevance to modern audiences.

I debated posting this picture but considering that today many of us are gonna be thankful for what we have and are gonna be spending it with those we love, eating very yummy food, I changed my mind. I didn't know my boyfriend had captured this moment. A couple of day's ago we went to eat late at night and as we waited for our order i saw this homeless lady walk in asking people that were throwing away there leftovers if she could have them. Not one person said yes, they all ignored her and threw it away it broke my heart...I have been volunteering with the homeless now for many years... they don't repulse me or make me sick to my stomach. I hold them all with so much love. So I told Fred if I see her before we are done eating I will give her my food. I looked for her as we were getting ready to leave and couldn't find her.....I felt sad knowing all the rejection she had that night searching for a warm meal. As I was gonna throw away my one leftover chicken strip and like 5 fries I heard a very quite voice ask me if I had anything left. I turned around and it was her..l gave her my food and watched her sit and eat it.....but something didn't feel right...I felt like a horrible human being feeding her my leftover chicken strip..she deserved so much more...so I bought her a whole meal..she deserved to eat a hot meal. When I ordered the meal I asked the employee for a huge favor to please do not kick her out as we waited...I could already see the disgust on people's faces as she sat at the table eating the leftovers I had given her....news flash people not all homeless people smell like roses. She was getting ready to get up and leave when I surprised her with this meal....the look on her face said it all...I have never felt something like this...pure, real gratitude. That hug she gave me was like a hug I had never felt....those tears she shed were felt deep in my heart...I held her tight and let her let it out. I wasn't repulsed by it....I just held her. And that is a moment I will never ever forget. So next time u judge a homeless person think twice...not all of them are homeless because of a drug addiction or because they are lazy.
