Hey pickers and singers! Well, spring is upon us and it's time to get those demos cut that you've been wanting to record before the festival season gets here. You'll need those tunes, CDs, EPs, etc. to stock your merch table! Or, maybe a summer tour is not in the plan this year, but you still have songs you want to lay down for posterity! Either way, give us a shout in any manner you choose to book some studio time here at Thunderground Sound. We're fully stocked and ready to rock! Hope to see some of you soon and let the magic happen!

Wrapped up some final tracks on a new tune from Mark Zieres last week. Mark's daughter, Zoe, came in to add a nice mandolin track to Mark's song titled, "Again". Bill McKay dropped by for some friendly mando advice. Together, they came up with a dandy track to finish up the song. Mark has another new one that's just about finished, too. So, two new songs from Mark coming soon, recorded here at Thunderground, engineered by Will Flagg. Great stuff, y'all!

Ooo, ooo!! Check it out! Laramie's Kathryn Harding has recently released a single on Spotify! "Take a Chance" was recorded here at Thunderground and mastered by Anna Frick, lead mastering engineer at Ally Sound down in Boulder, CO. Kathryn was accompanied by Thomas Saffel on acoustic guitar and they created a beautiful piece, penned by Kathryn, and driven by her amazing vocals. She's got a few more on the burner here at Thunderground, so stay tuned for more great music from Kathryn. Well, it's been a great last few weeks here at Thunderground Sound Studio. We had super fun sessions with two great Laramie bands. First, CAVALRY came in to lay down some new tracks as they continue to get ready for recording an album. CAVALRY's members - Angel, Thomas, Cole, and Niall - shook the walls with their powerful sound; great tunes and great performances.

Then, de Gringos y Gremmies came in and laid down a boatload of Xmas tunes over two days, plus a couple of new non-Xmas songs. Just yesterday, they brought in the "Laramie Friends and Family Choir" to do a little gang-singing on one of the Xmas songs. It's always a blast with these guys and the garage surf vibe they bring.
