This week DMAC 130 learned about the power of lighting and how to use it to tell impactful visual stories. Students used DIY light sources from things they had around their house. No professional lighting equipment was used. Let that sink in!

Alumni Update:

Tyler Seevers graduated from the DMAC Program in 2016. Upon graduation, he moved to California to pursue a career in film/television production.

From Tyler - "To get better acquainted with the industry, I went to Central Casting and became a background actor. This got me on set for multiple network tv shows. It was a way for me to see how everything worked without having to be in the fire. I also took a 2 day PA training through “PA Bootcamp” I highly recommend it. It teaches literally every single aspect of being a PA."

Congratulations Hansel Valdez!! That Emmy Award is going to look good on your shelf!

This is a great success story. Hansel Valdez is a Cuban immigrant. He came to the U.S., earned his degree from the DMAC Program/LCC, and got a job in the field that he loves. And to top it all off, he recently won an Emmy Award while working for Telemundo in South Florida.

WOW! It has been a LONG time since we posted anything. Sorry about that. Now that Fall Semester is officially underway, how about an amazing video by former DMAC student SAM DAVIS. Sam, as you may recall, graced the stage at the ACADEMY AWARDS a couple of years ago with his documentary short.
