The music, commercial music & recording technology departments of Cedar Valley Campus welcomes your interest in our unique program. Back in 1977, when the campus opened its doors, we conceived the first commercial music and audio engineering program in the state of Texas. Our plan was to offer the information and counseling necessary to allow a student to enter any of our four commercial music deg

ree program areas, to focus on developing musicianship as well as technical skills, and to prepare the student to enter the music business job market in just two short years. Looking back over thirty-five years, we believe that we have succeeded in our plan. Our graduates are employed as studio engineers, live sound engineers, radio and television station broadcast engineers, professional performing artists, composers, arrangers and producers. One of our music graduates, Caleb McCampbell, recently co-produced and played piano on the 2011 platinum hit track for Beyonce "Best Thing I Never Had." We invite you to tour our four fully-equipped audio recording studios (including our new SSL studio), our MIDI sequencing and Digital Music Production Lab and our Music Computer Lab. Our five full-time music faculty and seventeen adjunct faculty are available to answer any questions you may have about our curriculum or the entertainment industry in general.

We have good news and really good news!

The good news is students have a break from classes Thursday, Feb. 20, and Friday, Feb. 21. The really good news is that it's so our Dallas College staff can learn and develop to better serve our community and students through staff enrichment.

Note: Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday classes will still meet.
We return to business as usual on Monday, February 24.

Join us as a vendor for the 2024 holiday season!
Unbranded, the innovative pop-up retail and event concept from Downtown Dallas, Inc., is back for 2024, and we want you to be a part of it! We're offering free retail space to a curated group of entrepreneurs, designers, and artists. Dallas College CAED students will have a table to sell their work!
This year's Unbranded will take place at SPACE at Adolphus Tower on Thursdays through Saturdays from December 5-21, featuring art exhibitions, happy hours, and more to promote your brand to the community.
Don't miss this chance to showcase your creativity in the heart of Downtown Dallas!
