Working with an artist who is open to collaboration with us is always fun, and in this case it really pushed and shaped the song into something exciting.

9 years ago today we signed a 3 year lease and moved all of our musical equipment (in the middle of the freezing ass night) into the space that would come to be known as The Kaleidoscope.

Over the last 9 years we’ve recorded artists from all over the country. We’ve honed our skills as recording artists to give back and lift up the artists who come to work with us on their music. We’ve hosted performances from artists from all over the world. We’ve hoisted up our DIY flag and provided space for our community to gather and connect through music (the universal unifier).

It’s been simultaneously the most fun and hard work being here and carving out our little space in local and musical history. A humble and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has come through our doors to share time, energy, and connection with us. Maybe next year we host a proper banger for the big 10?

A rare and special honor this weekend, to have one of my personal favorite bands in the studio to work on new music with us. I’ve been knowing these dudes for almost 20 years at this point.

From taking me out on the town for my 21st bday, to introducing me to the world of DIY/punk mentality that has shaped my world, to just being the best guys to hang in a room with, it’s been a pleasure.

Today we're thankful for still being able to write, play and record music that means a lot to us almost 30 years after we started doing this when we were kids.

I think we're still improving!

We recorded these songs with Ben and Jon at The Kaleidoscope: these guys are great to work with and really made us sound better than we ever have before. Definitely recommend!

recommended one of his records to me after I asked if there was any local hip hop vinyl at his shop. I had never heard of them but loved the cover art and trusted the rec.

It’s a humbling and exciting feeling to hear an artist from your town that’s new to you, yet has done so much, and has roots so deep in the scene/community.

While we were recording this single it felt clear that they are honing in on something unique and refining/diving into their own sound. Being in the studio with a band on that journey is an exciting feeling.

conveys such a moody and haunting emotion with his vocals. I love it. A true and natural charisma. (He’s vegan)

I love this song and can’t wait to hear where their sonic adventures lead in the future.

And holy S**T, one of the most fun groups of people you could hope to find yourself in a room with. A proper pleasure, this bunch.

Happy Release day to our lovely peeps,

This EP feels like a special one.

The songwriting, lyrics, and production were all done with great personal care and intention from all the folks involved. There were tear jerking moments, whole lotta laughter, and most importantly, there was Indian food.

Also, this was our first collaborative effort with .north , some of our favorite studio content creators.

This EP is beautiful and deserves a listen. Enjoy!

New single “Commuter” is out today!!! This one is a personal fav from the batch of songs we worked on. The lyrics are great, the hook be catchy, and absolutely crushed it on this mix. Side note personal fav part, when Logan moves to the open D in the second chorus. I hear some Glocca Morra vibes in this one, which always makes me feel happy and nostalgic. Hbu?

Since the first time I heard Nicks music, I wanted us to work with him on his music, and thought that we could help deliver his vision in a great way.
