We had the chance to participate in the March to End Fossil Fuels!

Over 75,000 students, activists, researchers, and concerned citizens took to the streets to call for the Biden Administration to prioritize climate action as we enter into the 2024 U.S. Presidential election cycle.

It is heartening to see the adoption of a Citizens Climate Corps in the aftermath of this demonstration, and we hope to see even further action.

It was a great opportunity to connect Greenzine community with some of our ASTOUNDING partners and friends, including Aspen Future Leaders and NYU Sunrise 💚🤍

As of today, the The Resilience Youth Network () is officially teaming up with the Greenzine () on a partnership to elevate the ideas of young climate resilience leaders through writing.

Together our organizations are investing in job development for urgently necessary climate adaptation initiatives, providing new opportunities for young people to demonstrate their abilities and passions towards potential employers.

In this new partnership, climate resilience articles will now be cross-posted on RYN and Greenzine websites to further amplify multimedia climate storytelling from emerging leaders. In addition, the Greenzine will serve as the official platform for publishing the capstone projects of RYN’s 2023-2024 Fellowship Cohort.

“Is climate action still worth it?” I find myself wondering that sometimes during weeks like this where it feels like there’s one bad headline after another. Thousands of residents evacuated from Greek islands… Ocean temperatures reaching boiling points for the first time in recorded history…yet another hottest summer in recorded history… Sure, the situation is dire but that doesn’t mean you have to experience eco-grief alone. Our advice: stay engaged, but find community and joy in climate work so that you do not burn out (pun intended) Read and listen to podcasts, Organize against the inaction, facilitate conversation with your friends over a picnic, do something that makes you happy, consider writing down your thoughts or expressing them through art, take a break and then come back recharged. We got this 💚🩵🤍
