I got the opportunity to record and mix my guy Frankie Lee’s project called Fingers. It’s not like anything I’ve ever worked on. His sound is a mix of rock n roll, folk, blues, and pop music to creat its own unique sound. My brother played drums on 80% of the project and even had my girl bless a couple songs with her amazing talent. It was mastered by the great Audio Jesus himself, . This is the first project I’ve ever worked on that the artist did a vinyl run. You can download the project on all platforms

My prices are based off of a few different parameters:

The main ones:

1. Overhead
2. Gear
3. Experience
4. Direct Competition’s pricing
5. Professionalism/quality of work

Another reason my prices are set a little higher, is to w**d out the budget shoppers, penny pinchers and artists who don’t understand the concept of investing in themselves. If your homie can record and mix your record for $10/$15 dollars less, you should 100%, absolutely do business with them instead of me.

At the end of the day I stand by my work. I don’t claim to be the best but I know there are very few who can do what I do, at the level I do it at.

I appreciate everyone who took advantage of my sale last month. I’m going to continue to offer different deals through out the year, to give new artists an opportunity to try me out and see for yourself how great your music can sound, and to be able to show my appreciation to my current clients. I’ve been so busy and I thank you all for allowing me to bring your ideas to life.

So I’ve been in the music industry since 1996, and professionally since 2001 when I started Sydewayz Soundz Engineering. I was a young, hungry kid who was fascinated with how music was created. I decided that’s what I wanted to do and some how I would make it work. Over those 22 years later, I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundreds of talented artists in the studio, enjoying every single minute of it. Over that time, I’ve always thought about putting out a project of my own. I wanted to produce a compilation with a bunch of different artists, rapping and singing over my beats, but I never really got around to it. Life happens and you get busy. After I got shot back in 2021, I realized if I wanted to make my goal a reality I needed to get on it seriously. So I reached out to friends that I know in the industry and asked them what they thought and out being on a compilation project that I produced, tracked, arranged, mixed and mastered all on my own. Everyone I reached out to didn’t hesitate to be a part of it. Fast forward 2 years, my vision is now a reality. We created a body of work that in my opinion, is something that has a timeless sound to it, my home E.N.Y called it “new vintage.” I’m not only proud of myself for finally accomplishing this goal of mine, but proud of everyone who participated because I couldn’t have create this project with out you all. Everyone came with something special. Everyone delivered a solid record, and I couldn’t be more happy to share it with everyone. So with no further ado, on April 20th, 2023, I bring to you’ “Sydewayz Soundz Presents…The Smoking Lounge. Volume 1.”
