Happy 1st Anniversary to our amazing Community Manager Sam and our beautiful COhatch St. Pete location! How quickly a year has gone and what an incredible community has grown here.

We bought our very first home today. Rewind two years ago when my life was in a very different place. I was recovering from the pandemic - as many of you were. I was still grieving the loss of family members dear to me. I had been let go from my job and went through a separation. Some would say this was rock bottom. It was devastating - I had a little girl who was looking to me to keep it together and it felt like I was just getting by day by day. I don't think I had ever prayed so hard for a glimmer of hope. A miracle happened – I found a job with COhatch in Lakeland as their local Community Manager. They didn't just "hire" me, they invested in me more than just money but with their time, patience, and understanding. An even more amazing thing happened – I was surrounded by community. People within the space I connected with daily filled my emotional cup. The members started calling me the "COhatch Mom" and I realized family does not always come by blood. This company, and these members, helped me in my most desperate of times.

I say I bought a house but the truth is "WE" purchased this house. Every member in this photo helped me to accomplish a lifelong dream. It could not have happened without them and I am forever grateful. We closed on our house yesterday and I will forever think of it as my COhatch home. Thank you to Crystal Rain Goffe from Swan City Title. Thank you to Jonathan Davis and his family from Davis Legacy Mortgage, Thank you to Von H**p from Goosehead Insurance. Thank you to COhatch for creating more than a workspace but a place that genuinely cares for each person within the space and helps them build their dreams.

My heart almost explodes as I watch this beautiful historic building be renovated to give back to the community. I have been able to watch pieces of historic Tarpon be implemented into the fine details within the building that give a story to not only the history of the building but to the community. We are most definitely coming soon! We look forward to our Community Grand Opening and cannot wait to officially be a part of the Tarpon Springs Community. The journey through grief for a survivor of su***de loss is difficult due to feelings of guilt, awkward encounters with those who do not understand the depth of the loss, and dealing with the stigma that surrounds su***de. If you are a survivor of a su***de loss; we invite you to attend our SOUL Support Group. We currently meet the first and third Wednesday of each month, 5:30 to 6:45, at the CoHatch building on 211 E. Main St., Lakeland, FL 33801. Parking is free after 5:00 p.m. in the Nest Room. Together, we encourage and support one another
