From my mom’s pozole and tamale pots to the largest pot we could find—and now, finally, to this big guy—we’re kicking off the year stronger than ever. Some of you who’ve visited the tortilla shop already know the story behind this cooking pot and how long we’ve dreamed of getting it up and running. Thanks to God, we’re now at full capacity and ready to increase production.

I truly believe that everything we go through and everyone we meet in life happens for a reason. My husband’s passion for restorations , my dad’s dedication to construction since arriving in the U.S., and my brother-in-law’s expertise as a propane master service technician—all of it came together to make this moment possible. This isn’t just about the pot; it’s about the people, the perseverance, and the purpose behind it all. We’re so grateful to share this journey with you. ✌️ ❤️

Our retail location will be closed during Thanksgiving weekend. This decision was not made lightly! As we navigate the holiday season, we have realized that our priorities must center around what truly matters to us—our son, Riad, whom many of you have met. And the inspiration behind making better tortillas! As business owners, we have had to sacrifice a lot of time with family, and we’re starting to feel the impact of missing out on precious moments with our little one that we can never get back. It just so happens that our little guy is turning seven this weekend! Therefore, we have decided to take a short break. We hope you understand. ❤️ We truly appreciate your continued support and hope you enjoy this time with your family!

These are the Flinstones that we use to grind the corn that goes into making masa (dough), tortillas, and chips. These stones are made from black lava rock. When my grandfather owned his tortilla shop in Mexico, he would sharpen the grooves in the stones by hand using a chisel. Now my dad is the one who sharpens and keeps up with the maintenance of these stones to ensure we get a proper grind. Our organic blue corn tortillas and chips are made of 100% organic blue corn. We don’t need to add food coloring to get the beautiful blue color you get when you open a bag of our chip.

Today is Mother’s Day in Mexico so I want to take a moment to wish my mom, Claudia, un Feliz día de las Madres! She’s always been my number one supporter and continues to support me every day. She’s gentle, caring, witty and she has always encouraged me to follow my dreams. Shes full of positivity and she was one of the first few to tell me that opening an old school nixtamal tortilla shop was a good idea, despite all the heavy work that is involved. I remember when I was a little girl, she would sell tamales to buy us gift for Christmas or to make ends meet. Today, I am so proud to share her recipes with you, which you have all come to love and include in your weekly meal. Sending all the love to all mothers today and the rest of this weekend. ❤️
