te so I couldn't turn on my favorite television show--Bob Vila's Home Again. Together, my grandfather and I painted, tiled, hung drywall, and more. My early years in construction had some definite highs; one of them at three years old, when I explained to my grandfather and my aunt that the reason they could not fix a bed frame was because they were missing a bushing. But those highs had their corresponding lows--like the time my grandfather was asked to assist with a small plumbing project, and we had to change the wax ring on a toilet. On that note, I decided to hang up my child-sized tool belt and retire my mini monogrammed hammer--I was on to dreams of financial planning. If only I had known then that my future would hold an opportunity to reignite my childhood dreams of chalk lines and saw dust…
