Is there a name for when someone outside of a culture misunderstands what is being said/done by those within the culture? Is it 'cultural competency" or something different? πŸ€” Ex. When Rep. Crockett said, "Chile ..." and Rep. Mace said she called her a child and started threatening violence? Or if a black woman is patting her hair, and a clinician writes that she has a stim or is s3lf-h@rming in their notes?? What do you call that misunderstanding?

Saturday before TikTok went dark, several influencers participated in a trend where they revealed their "secret," assuming the app would be gone forever. πŸ‘€ Many were cute, fun, and innocuous, but some very successful creators revealed blatant, bold-faced lies about their relationships, themselves, and even the entire basis of their content. πŸ™ƒπŸ«  This is why I tell my coaching clients not to compare themselves to anyone, ESPECIALLY on social media. You’re out here trying to thrive on authenticity and truth while others choose to smile in your face, gain your trust, and LIE to win. Stay in your lane and stay safe out there. ✌🏽 πŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈ
