Q: Why did you decide to write this book?
_________________________________________
A: I wrote "Feed A Family On $25- A Week!" Out of necessit
y. My Ex filled for divorce and left me penny-less, and without a car. I no longer had access to my bank accounts. I found myself with no choice but to get in line for emergency food stamps and welfare money...when my case worker handed me my EBT card...I cried tears of joy, I was so thankful to live in a country that would be there for me at my darkest hour. My case worker was surprised at my reaction to receiving the modest help...she said, "You have no idea how many people have sat right there and said... is this it!? What am I supposed to do with this?" That is where I got the idea to write my book. Because I was determined to make ends meet. In this country you CAN dust yourself off and start over again with nothing.

Q: What is your background?
____________________________________________
A: I spent a few years dedicated to a business that my Ex and I developed. I did travel reporting, photography, sold advertising...wrote food reviews and went to posh wine events, and wrote about those as well. It was a great business. I learned a lot...made a really good income and was treated like royalty up on the Central Coast. Where we lived for over 5 years. Before that I sold my original paintings and prints. I had my own art gallery, had shows in cafes in Hawaii. Was even in several Oahu newspapers with my art. But when I moved to the Central Coast I put my art career on hold to work on the family business.

Q: Who do you consider your audience?
____________________________________________
A: Anyone and everyone that needs to learn how to make ends meet but in a healthy way. Most of us need to learn how to live on a budget. And the more money you can save the better! My audience ranges from children to grandparents!

Q: Tell us about your book.
____________________________________________
A: My book teaches the everyday person how to healthfully live on a food budget of just $25- A week. It has shopping lists, recipes for breakfasts, snacks, lunches and dinners. It has a one month meal planner. It also has other Eco-friendly tips on how to save money. Every penny counts. And my book teaches the reader how to prepare easy-healthy-yummy meals. The meals are designed to be easy to create AND easy clean up. No one has the time or patience to clean up tons of pots and pans after they have cooked a meal. I'm not a trained chef at all...I call myself the "lazy" chef. But if everyone is happy and fed a healthy hearty meal then all the more power to you!

Q: What are you saying in your book? What message are you trying to get out?
____________________________________________
A: The real message I want to get out there is this= It does NOT have to cost more to eat healthy and feel great. If you know where to shop and what to shop for anyone can eat right without breaking the bank.

Q: What do you hope readers take away from your book?
_____________________________________________
A: I hope that people who get my book learn how to save tons of money while eating healthier than they ever have in their lives... while enjoying the culinary benefits of easy, fresh, locally grown, seasonal produce. Once you incorporate my book into your life you will have more money left over to really experience what life has to offer. Whether that be, paying off debt or saving for an exotic trip. I hope that my book really enriches the lives of those who it comes across. And if we can support our local farmers in the process then that is yet another bonus!
