Meta’s ad delivery system works best when your audience size is at least 2 million people. So, set up your ad to target the widest audience that makes sense for your business.

Only use age, gender and location targeting.
These parameters help your ads get the widest reach possible for your audience.

Consolidate similar ad sets to avoid audience overlap.
If multiple ad sets are targeting similar audiences, try consolidating them into a single ad set with a larger budget. This keeps audiences in different ad sets from overlapping and prevents ads from competing against each other in the auction.

Name, image, likeness event for student-athletes

“Student-athletes are uniquely positioned to influence and inspire, which is what makes them great representatives of their institution,” said Julia Murphy, a former collegiate athlete who is currently a strategic advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

College athletes make great brand ambassadors due to their strong communication and leadership skills. But what about the athlete's own brand?

Julia will join us January 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. for a conversation about name, image, likeness (NIL) for student-athletes to help students and their parents leverage and protect their NIL.

Join Julia, former NFL player Shawn Springs, and USPTO Acting Director Derrick Brent as they share NIL tips and resources. This event will take place online and in person at the National Inventors Hall of Fame and Museum in Alexandria, Virginia.

In the meantime, Julia has this advice: “Do your homework and ask questions! It is a rapidly evolving landscape but if navigated with intentionality and clarity, it can be extremely rewarding for your long-term futures and financial foundations. Also, monetary perks are great but don’t forget that playing a sport that you love is what brought you to your respective school in the first place.”
