Serving the City of La Verne, population 32,916 in the Pomona Valley, 30 miles east of Los Angeles, LVTV-3 has over 6,000 subscribers and provides coverage of events in the community and at the University of La Verne. Since 1994, the University of La Verne Communications Department has contracted with the city of La Verne to run LVTV-3. Television students in the Communications Department at the U
niversity create much of the station’s programming. District meetings, University of La Verne football, basketball and baseball, the Fasnacht Lecture Series, plays, political forums, concerts in the park, Little League baseball games, and high school sports, concerts and plays. LVTV-3 also produces a show,”La Verne Report” that includes a news segment produced by Bonita High School students, “Cat Tracks” and ”BearFacts” featuring a variety of videos produced by Bonita High School students. The University of La Verne produces a monthly video magazine show in the fall, “Spotlight” and a bi-weekly local news program in the spring, “Foothill Community News”.
