“The Biography of Yung Brill”
Yung Brill, born as (Jabril Perry) was born on July 17th 1984 in Los Angeles, Ca. to a young nurse and a father that works for ABC. His parents divorced at the young age of 6, which caused him to move back and forth from L.A, around Crenshaw and Slausson to the small city of La Mirada, Ca. all his young life. This caused Yung Brill to be influenced by not only the harsh gang life of the “60’s Crips” whom he adapted to and known as “the double kid” but also into “Hesh Mob” and “NSK”, two of the most highly recognized party/tagging/Sk8 crews in La Mirada, Ca. in the early 90’s to mid 2000’s where he was also known as “Nutzo” because of all his crazy antics and fighting skills in the streets knockin’ heads. His two older brothers were both shot in the head in Los Angeles back in the early 90’s. Both made it but I think this made Yung Brill an animal in the streets and he never looked back. He began selling drugs at 13. He moved from school to school because of constant fights. Dropped out of high school on 2001, and finally got his GED in 2003. It’s very fair to say that Yung has always been able to adapt to his surroundings and always stand out in a crowd with his presence always felt. He not only has the street smarts from selling drugs and gang life but is very skilled in many different areas. He is a black belt in Karate, highly talented in skate boarding, break dancing, and of course freestylin’ and writing lyrics. His passion has always been in the music and began freestylin’ at parties and with friends in the early 90’s at the young age of 12 where he quickly made a name for himself on the streets as a fierce opponent and competitor. He was on his first mix-tape with two child hood friends Josh Najera AKA “Yacco” and Frank Sanchez AKA “Rukis” back in 2003. Frank is now his Manager of “Yung Brill” on their upcoming label “Green House Money Gang”. His family has also always been into the music which is believed to be why he has had such a strong presence and kept his heart into it for so many years, only getting better and better with harsh lyrics and ridiculous flow. His first cousin is “Dax” whom you may know from his feature on the “Wash” soundtrack with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
“Yung Brill” and Green House Money Gang are slowly but surely making a name for themselves in the rap game on a real business scale these days.
