This reception took our breath away then, and it still does now.

It was a reception that left us in awe of its beauty before the guests even arrived. As a wedding photo/video team, we love getting early access to the venue. We take detail shots early in the day to get us in the headspace of shooting. This day was planned perfectly, and we were honored to capture it from start to finish.

Photos are the best way to value a moment you’ll never get again.⁠

I know it’s a little cheesy for us, sure, but it’s true and I’ve been thinking a lot about it now that we’re back in the groove of shooting weddings for 2024. We take anything with us when we leave earth, but I can’t think of a more important possession for the time we’re here than photos I have from my life. They’re the most tangible thing we have to look back on, for better or worse.⁠

That’s the whole reason we take our jobs so seriously. It’s why we have more than a few ways of backing up your images. It’s why we invest money back into our business. It’s why we stay up way way way too late making minor edits to get our films perfect.⁠
⁠
It’s way more than a transaction or a service, it’s actually an event that gets to mark a moment in life you’ll be able to have forever and that’s REALLY important. Just some food for thought as we get ready to create more moments for this special couple over the weekend.⁠

An autumn California golden hour engagement session series to celebrate wedding weekend for K+A!

We love when we book couples like this who give us the opportunity to be a part of their engagement photos and their wedding day. It makes prepping for the wedding even more exciting to know we’ll get to see our clients (and mostly friends) again after already having shot with them before. Usually it feels like we’re picking up right where we left off rather than having our first face to face interaction on the morning of wedding day.

We’ll be back with an even glowier carousel of these two in the next few months, only this time the location will be . ✨

I don’t particularly like social media. I specifically don’t like social media on ushy gushy days like this. I mean it’s really great that you love your significant other and by all means post a photo or video of them doing something cute (especially if we took it, and please for the love of all things good tag us, thx.) I guess I just came on here to remind you to love your partner at all times, you know? Not just on a day like valentine’s day. 🤮⁠

Anyways, love you long time and even though caption writing isn’t my favorite thing to do I will forever and always be committed to “showing up” and “being myself” on feb 14 (even if that means throwing shade). XOXOXOXO - Daniel
