Y’all know I’m always down for a good ol’ Heaux Down! Or in this case, a Heaux Dine, since I brought the heat in Mo City! Huge shoutout to Ms. Khalilah for trusting me to curate the perfect blend for her special day. We mixed it up with some 90s, Country, Southern Soul, and of course, Zydeco—it was a whole vibe!

Special love to one of my OG mentors, Ms. Ashley, for believing in me and referring me—even before she’d heard me spin! It’s incredible when people see your potential and give you a shot. Moments like this are why I do what I do.

Looking back at these pics, it’s crazy to think it’s been this long. When my dad, DJ Bigg Mac, launched DJ’SRUS, we quickly learned what the “US” really meant. I became the secondary DJ, with my mom handling transportation and song suggestions, and my sister helping with setup. There were nights we double booked, and I was literally DJing in middle school and high school for everything—yes, even DJ’d the after party for my school district’s all-district musical a few times.

It all started with me curating iTunes playlists, but when I touched my first board in 2020 in preparation for my first DJ battle—and won—it was a game changer. That moment marked the birth of DJ CAYJUYN SPYCE, and the rest is history. 🌶️🖤🔥

I miss BRYTE NIGHT 🥹 We need to run it back asap!! Man, I was scared scared! 😭🤣 My very first club event had me nervous, but I couldn’t wait to bring the heat. Thankfully, my friend and client Bernard of BRYTE believed in me. He told me the vibe he wanted, and I knew I had some big shoes to fill—if you know, you know. Bernard was the party king back in middle school and high school!

I put together the ultimate party playlist, from Beat King to Lil Ru, and we kept the energy up all night. It was a vibe I’ll never forget, and it showed that I can do anything. Shout out to Jonae for the photos.

Here’s your weekly reminder to always promote yourself! 🙌🏾 I left a business card in the break room just to show everybody what I do outside of work. Next thing you know, my coworker Gina passed my info to the planning committee, and BOOM—I’m DJing Dickinson High School’s Class Reunion! 🎶

It was off the chain! I was in Pre-K when they were seniors, but that didn’t stop me from turning up. They wanted the soundtrack to the best years of their lives, so we went from Myspace to TRL, all of it. 💿🔥 Honestly, this playlist should’ve been been a blank disc because it was THAT live!

The night was EVERYTHING! I have a time reliving my elementary years!! Proof that when you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready. 💃🏽✨

🎉 I brought the heat for Mr. Herb’s birthday celebration, and let me tell you—a time was truly had! 🔥

It’s not often I get to stay in my R&B bag like this, but when Ed (one of my loyal clients) hired me, he told me to just do my thing—and I did exactly that! 🙌

We started with some upbeat R&B, slid into those deep cuts from some of our faves, and closed it out with some Zydeco to keep the vibes high. 🎶 Moments like this remind me why I love being a DJ.

Last year I DJ’d my first music video shoot AND a foam party on the same night! 🔥🎥💦 Y’all, it was CRAZY in the best way. The vibes were unmatched, and the energy was on 10 all night long!

And yeah… I might’ve hopped in the cypher for a lil’ something, but that’s a classified file lol. 🤫😂 Shoutout to my bestie for the restie and my cousin for pulling up and showing love! 💕 Oh, and thank God no equipment got hurt during all this madness.
