Creativity is something I believe in not just something I do; my name is Shannon Edwards. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Media communications and will soon have my Master’s in Public Relations in 2020. The Media Communications (MCBS) field is a very open and broad filled with many career opportunities. But if you take a closer look at them you’ll notice that some of them relate to the Media Communications field than others. As a Writer, I convey to the world the thoughts and ideas that are running through my mind and invite my readers to enter into a different world with me. As a Web Designer, I believe that web layouts, SEO, and how the sits appear to your audience is extremely important. Being able to clearly communicate, connect with your viewers/audience is essential. People love going on the internet and visiting different websites, why? Because Web Designers must effectively create sites that have all the elements that attract the viewer’s eyes, making them want to return. Having a website that is impressive is vital in the media industry, it not only represents the brand, but it’s also your online personality, your identity. As a Media Researcher, I conduct research both in the quantitative and qualitative form, I have to decipher what news is real and which stories are false so that I can make sure that the information I am acquiring is accurate and precise. My Goal as a Public Relations specialist is to create a picture for your viewers. The image that lets them know what your company is all about, and to show them that you have what they need. As your public relations specialist, I'll create and maintains a favorable public image for your company. I'll write material for media releases, plan and direct public relations programs, and raise funds for your organizations. I'll deal with your organization's correspondence with the general population, including purchasers, investors, reporters, and other media pros. As your Public Relations Specialist, I will do what you expect me to do and more.
