Today, we invite you to journey with us as Daesya shares how this experience has rekindled her passion and excitement for the enchanting work of Silver Lining Productions.

FROM THE DESK OF OUR FOUNDER:

🌌 I am profoundly thankful to PechaKucha for bestowing upon me the chance to speak and for dedicating an honorarium to the extraordinary Black women who have not only shaped me but the very essence of our culture. Among these incredible women is my grandmother, the heart of my "why." Her story isn’t merely one of resilience—it’s a testament to triumph against cosmic odds. As a sharecropper during the Jim Crow era, she embarked on a brave quest northward during "The Great Migration," driven by a dream of "more"—a dream as elusive as a silver lining in the storm.

🌠 My grandmother’s journey birthed a legacy of dreamers, those who dare to hope for "more" when they've only known "less." This profound realization—that her story is the very soul of Silver Lining Productions—fills us with awe.
