I haven't been in the most Christmasy mood this holiday season, what with this fall being a series of unfortunate events (this week included), but in spite of that, by request - and perhaps with the assistance of some spiked egg nog - tonight on Lake Effect Radio I will bring you my first ever full-fledged Christmas show.

Upon receiving a boatload of Christmas song suggestions from a friend who shall remain nameless (many of them too absurd to subject my small but loyal listening audience to, even if the aforementioned friend is a member of said audience), I have relented and will present two+ hours of Christmas songs both familiar and obscure, from the worlds of rock, pop, jazz and more.

Tonight's show on Lake Effect Radio will feature two hours of (mostly) prog rock, but with a few strings attached.

Inspired by a concert by former King Crimson violinist David Cross (pictured) at the Beachland Ballroom which I will not be attending, tonight I'll focus on prog rock violin. A few cuts will be from non-prog rockers, but I'll feature music from a range of prog acts and beyond that have featured violin at one time or another.
