My daughter and I met the artist Mychal of Iona Handcrafted Books at the Des Moines Arts Festival several years ago. Both of us were drawn to her booth like moths to a flame when we saw her incredible handmade artisan journal and photo books.

I bought this photo album for my daughter's wedding photos (photos by Kara and a Camera) and I'm thrilled with it. It's perfect. It's timeless. It will last for generations.

Celebrate with me this evening, I got my business’s books done for 2023!! What a year! We moved here to Kirksville, updated a home (still in progress), reclaimed land, and our daughter got married.

Through all that I still took great care of my clients and was able to knock out the end-of-the-year bookkeeping in two days because I made sure to stay on top of them monthly and quarterly.

I also just about finished with creating my 2024 planner where I set & track goals and keep my business records. It’s a 3-ring binder and because I’m a Gen Xer it strongly resembles a Trapper Keeper 😅
but without the Lisa Frank rainbows & unicorns from The Time Before.

Feels good!!
