CATCHING GLANCES
Seems like I secretly have the thought, "I don't get it" WAY too much. It's probably not even that secret, because I catch a few glances now and then and I can tell they're thinking, "She doesn't get it." Most walk away, some take advantage, and some don't get it with me and we find our merry way to the island of misfit toys. If only I could figure out what IT is, I know I could at least join a few more conversations with some normalcy. I try. Silence is powerful, though, even when you're really only being quiet because you KNOW whatever you say is going draw blank stares or benignly ostracizing responses. I think I'd fair well to talk about school zones and fine cheezes a little more.

There is a story about Michelangelo finding the statue in the stone. Yesterday I was at First Lutheran downtown Nashville where I will be leading worship tomorrow. The best way to prepare for worship is to worship and it was beautiful time of solitude with my Beloved. Then this song came to me. I can't really say I found it. It found me. I am hesitant to share it because it is new and raw and maybe unfinished. But then, so am I. May Life find the angel in you today.
