MEET OUR OWNER!!!
Bill Sherard has deep Virginia heritage in radio. Bill started his broadcast career as a high school student in Big Stone Gap, deep in the valleys of Southwest Virginia. During college in Richmond, he worked full-time as a nighttime DJ on a legendary top 40 radio station, WLEE. Years later, Bill worked with partners who provided him with ownership at two Alexandria, VA radio stations, which they later sold to Group W Broadcasting. Bill then built his own radio group of 9 stations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Illinois. After 60 years, Bill has never lost the love of radio. He's proud to operate radio stations here in the Northern Neck and believes in the power of radio to help a local community be a better place.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We had an incredible time at the 87th Annual Virginia Association of Broadcasters Convention in Virginia Beach and are thrilled to announce that we brought home the award for Best Human Interest Story for our Hometown Heroes program! 🏆🎉

The Triway Trail is Official!

Senator Mark Warner, the Lancaster County Board of Supervisors and 150 dignitaries, area businesses, community organizations and others all came together at Compass Entertainment Center today. The occasion: commemoration of the first phase of the Triway Trail, connecting Kilmarnock, Irvington and White Stone. Senator Warner presented a check for $988,000 to assist in the funding of Phase 1 construction. The benefits to the area? recreational opportunities with traffic free biking and walking, plus a direct effect on increased tourism in the Northern Neck.

MEET THE TEAM: LAUREN JAMES
Lauren is a Northern Neck Native, a graduate of Lancaster High School and of Christopher Newport University. Lauren has worked in radio advertising sales for over 6 years and now serves as our General Manager. She was selected to participate in the Virginia Association of Broadcasters Best of the Best Leadership Program in 2023-2024. James also has received several VAB awards for commercial production and promotional concepts. She is co-owner of 2022 Start-up Paddle On LLC, a Kayak and Paddle Board Rental Company. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, being on the water, and traveling!

MEET THE TEAM: STEVE GRAINER
Steve started as a DJ when vinyl was the standard. He graduated college with a degree in social sciences and education followed by a 40-year career in fire and emergency services and related training in hazardous materials and incident command. He returned to playing music for fun and was fortunate to find a company that allowed him to do that-Two Rivers Communications. His favorite non-music pursuits include gardening, hunting, and fishing. He now can do all those things in the same place—"no place better than the Northern Neck."

MEET THE TEAM: ALLAN COURTNEY
Allan Courtney is a native of the Northern Neck. He is a graduate of Lancaster High School, Chowan College, and Radford University, where he majored in Recreation with an emphasis in management. He served as the Recreation Director for the Lancaster County Department of Parks & Recreation and worked in the recreation/education fields for several years. He embarked on a second career in sales, including working for the progressive country radio station 99.9 The Wolf (now Hank 93.1). He lives in Ottoman and spends much of his free time writing, collecting vintage sports autographs, and following the Baltimore Orioles.
