Had the privilege to get to work with Roxanne Flores, Kevin Keller, and Ryan Haverlah from the city of Copperas Cove TX! The show they are building is called The State of the City with a focus and theme called "Engage Copperas Cove, Better Together". Getting to see and learn everything it takes to make a city run was an incredible experience. We hope that this year's event will be educational and informative for the people of this amazing city.

This project was two years in the making and possibly one of the hardest things I've ever worked on. I'm incredibly grateful for everyone at ABC, KCEN, KDH, NBC, AnaLusia Tapia, Mike Stanford, Rex Hollingsworth, Ryan Hauser, Vince DiPersio, Ali Ansari, Olivia Levada, Bary Roy, Chelsea Edwards, Iesha Little, and all the other mentors and collogues that helped along the way.

Vanessa Guillen was 20 years old when she was found murdered at a US Army base. Rather than submit to silence, her family fought for justice and change.

An Army Basic Trainee is questioned by an undercover investigator regarding her involvement with a male drill sergeant.

This was a collaborative project with Jamie Lorente. Jamie is a veteran, a filmmaker, and writer with a passion for empowering her fellow veterans. From writing workshops in collaboration with Returning Veterans Project in Portland, Oregon to mentoring Jamie helps those silently struggling find their voice. By focusing on art, Jamie hopes others can transform and begin to heal from past traumatic experiences.

This short film is an excerpt of a larger pilot project and is meant to start, encourage, and continue a necessary conversation that impacts far too many - Military Sexual Trauma (MST).

Currently some of her writing can be found in the book, Poetic Prosthetics: Trauma and Language in Contemporary Veteran Writing by Ron Ben-Tovim (Edinburgh University Press).
