Discussion on Senate Bill 154 took up much of an Education committee meeting on Thursday, as concerns over the bill's wording could be interpreted. The Bill would prohibit schools from requiring Sexual Education, and require school staff to report if a student requests an accommodation to affirm a change in the student's gender identity.

Though it’s still early, issues of gender identity have been prominent in the legislative session this year, and the Senate Education committee took up the issue in their meeting Thursday.
