This is awesome!! The great folks at Blue Oak Trading Company want to make sure the kiddos at Hill Country Youth Ranch have a great Christmas this year!!!!

We have teamed up with the Hill Country Youth Ranch for a Christmas Toy Drive! Each kid from the ranch created their own ornament with their toy wish written on it. If you would like to make the season brighter for these kids please consider selecting an ornament, purchasing the gift, wrap it and return with the ornament attached to Blue Oak no later than December 18th.

The Kerrville Police Department, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation is conducting ongoing enhanced traffic enforcement to target unsafe driving in Kerrville. Kerrville Police Department officers will be conducting extra traffic enforcement patrols with the goal of encouraging safe driving throughout Kerrville.

Every single day since November 7, 2000, someone has died on the Texas roadways. Our KPD team is determined to help make our city safer through traffic enforcement to prevent vehicle crashes.

"This grant funded initiative allows our officers to concentrate on traffic enforcement,” Kerrville Chief of Police Chris McCall said. "Our KPD team will be keeping a sharp eye out for speeding vehicles and other dangerous driving. This traffic initiative is not only meant to supplement our enforcement efforts, but to also encourage drivers to slow down and be safe while they're utilizing our roadways.”

KPD officers will be focused on speed violations and other unsafe driving practices which lead to accidents, such as unsafe lane changes, running red lights, not using turn signals, failure to yield right of way, and other moving violations.
