The Seattle Mariners started the Dan Wilson-era with a bang on Friday night, rallying from four runs down to beat the San Francisco Giants 6-5 in extra innings.

As my friend J.R. Rhodes said: The March on Washington. August 28, 1963. Right around this time every year I like to sit with and appreciate this image. And look at the young people involved as well. We can come together, again.

Great class tonight, at Piere College Steilacoom! We studied this next Full Moon cycle, Aug 19th with the chart of the sky and the Tarot. We love our students, and we love to study the sky!! Check this out: Aug 19th Full Moon will be the first of four Super Moons in 2024!
And guess what? An Astrologer, coined that phrase, Supermoon, see below!
The next full moon will occur at 2:26 p.m. EDT (1826 GMT) on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024. But it won't be just any old full moon, it will be a Supermoon Blue Moon!
The term "supermoon" was first coined by astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979, as "either a new or full moon that occurs when the moon is within 90% of its closest approach to Earth" according to NASA. Full supermoons are the biggest and brightest full moons of the year, appearing approximately 30% brighter and 14% larger than usual. Though this may sound like a lot, however, it's quite hard to spot the difference with the unaided eye, unless you're a seasoned moon-watcher!

August's supermoon will be the first of four supermoons in a row.

Aug 19th Monday starts this New Cycle of the Super Full Moon, allowing us to get in touch with our truth, hope and justice.
August's full moon, which is coming Monday, has several names, including supermoon, blue moon and sturgeon moon. So what do they all mean?
The "super" part refers to the moon's orbit, which brings it slightly closer to Earth this month, making it appear bigger and brighter. The "blue" part means that this is the third of four full moons this season, an unusual occurrence. As for "sturgeon," that refers to the Native American name for August's full moon.

August's full moon, which is coming Monday August 19, has several names, including supermoon, blue moon, and sturgeon moon.

From Kiro7 News : Just In and Yes I got a text on my iPhone saying I owed, but you know folks, I never us the HOV! The joke is on these hackers: be aware,
The Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is warning "Good to Go" customers about scammers sending out fake bills throughout the Puget Sound area.
WSDOT toll spokesperson Chris Foster told KIRO 7 the department has received approximately 400 calls over the past month from drivers over text messages from scammers.
The scam text messages include fake toll bill notices, accompanied with the WSDOT logo, urging people to click on a link to pay. The texts tell drivers they owe a certain amount from a recent trip in the toll lanes and, by clicking the link, customers would visit a phony Good To Go website that takes a person’s payment information.
