Friends, the start of November hit me different this year. I love the holidays, but I’d be lying if I said I’m not sad we get very few days of sunshine and warmth for the next several autumn & winter months (I’m located in the Pacific Northwest for reference).

More fotitos from this beautiful place 🩵 The first time I visited el mar (the sea) I was in college and participated in a month-long study abroad in an Island - I fell in love con el Mar. I spent hours on end snorkeling 🤿 during our free time. I just couldn’t get enough. I didn’t even know how to swim well and I am the biggest scaredy-cat, but something about the ocean made me feel at peace, brave, and invincible. I remember the salt water making my lips extra puffy (like when you eat a ton of sunflower seeds iykyk), but I didn’t even mind. Seeing the world underneath was magical. We swam with Sharks 🦈 & stingrays too… I most definitely climbed on the back of our host dad bc like I said I’m a scaredey-cat, but I managed to get off the boat & face my fears🚤

These days you’ll find me enjoying the waves, sunset, & sunrise when I visit the ocean. It resets my soul & recharges my spirit every time.

I want to be more transparent when it comes to the edits on my photos. Personally, I edit mainly bc I see it as a creative outlet. However, I have previously removed the ugly pimple stealing the show, but more often than not it’s the lighting I focus on and the creative aspect of it. I’m working on staying away from removing details I used to consider “imperfections”. I first learned/heard of the clarity effect from @dtmports stories.
