I will never understand people passionately hating on others for doing something they enjoy. I started dancing before I could even read. I’ve enjoyed playing dress up and inventing characters for as long as I can remember. My husband loves and breathes dance. He used to blast Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin since the age of three. He’d lip sing and jump to their music in the living room. Creating content wasn’t something that we “strategically” pursued, it just made sense. Creating content is more FUN than it is work, for some of us.
Earlier this year during a very happy point in our lives we experienced online hate via DMs and even had people close to us telling us to “be humble” simply because we were happy, thriving, & minding our own business creating content. The same people who want to “humble you” when you are doing well are not as quick to “support you” when you are struggling.
You can be an entertainer and have fun, don’t let people with biases taint your passion for creating content.
