Juan here! Royal Rosca began as a thought at the end of 2023 as a community event created by Hello Habanero, led by my then-partner Edward and I. Inspired by the cultural significance of Roscas, a cherished tradition in the Hispanic community, we envisioned an event that brought vendors, families, and nonprofits together to uplift our culture. I am incredibly proud of the positive impact we made in its creation.

Since then, We have undergone significant changes to our business including a new leadership team. These changes have only strengthened our focus on empowering minority-owned businesses in our community.

I wanted to share that Hello Habanero and I are no longer affiliated with Royal Rosca or its current leadership. While we are no longer affiliated, we hope this event happens in January. While stepping back from this event was a difficult decision, it comes from a place of deep respect and recognition of the need for change in Hello Habanero.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event in its creation and believed in our vision. Your trust and encouragement mean everything as we focus on new opportunities to serve and help this incredible community!

Happy Veterans Day, everyone! 🇺🇸

Juan Here! As this season of my life evolves, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past eight years of service in the U.S. Navy Reserve. It hasn’t always been easy balancing my role as a small business owner and my commitment to our nation, but it has been incredibly rewarding!

This summer, I had the opportunity to extend my enlistment and become a photo journalist for the Navy, but I chose not to pursue that role. Instead, I decided to focus on what’s most important to me; my family, our community, and growing . After eight fulfilling years, I’ve officially transitioned out of the Navy, and I’m beyond grateful for all the opportunities it has brought!

I’m also excited to announce that has officially joined me as co-owner of Hello Habanero this month! It’s an inspiring new chapter for the both of us, I’m thankful for the journey ahead, and grateful for the team we have. As one door closes, another one opens, and I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way, our clients, my family, and all those I’ve had the honor to serve in and outside the United States Navy.

Here’s to new beginnings and to all the veterans and families serving our nation today!

We had such a great time speaking to the awesome students at Columbia Basin College! 🎉 It was a real pleasure to share our story and pour into the small group that joined us. Their questions were on point, and it felt amazing to help guide them in the right direction as they’re getting ready to take on their own journeys.

Big shoutout to for inviting us and making it all happen. We’re super thankful for the chance to connect with the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs—it’s moments like these that remind us why we love doing what we do. ❤️

We’re already excited to come back and do it all over again soon! Can’t wait to see where these students go from here! Let’s keep building the future together.
