It is not normal to have huge amounts of protein in the urine.

Albumin is a type of protein that is normally found in the blood and not in the urine. The presence of albumin in the urine is often an early sign of kidney disease.

Maria: I've been urinating more often, like 8 times and I go back and forth in the restroom. When I p*e, there is foamy or bubbly urine and I was alarmed. I also always feel tired, experience shortness of breath, and my hands and feet are swollen! I'm not quite sure why I have these symptoms and went directly to you to ask for help.

Doc: Don't be afraid, we are here for you! I'll be doing some medical history and request for a urine test to check and identify the reason why you have foamy urine. Presence of foamy urine indicates that you could have kidney inflammation, heart disease, kidney cancer, and other conditions.

Exercise-induced rhabdomyolysis can cause serious complications. Delayed diagnosis can be critical, so timely manner should be taken to achieve a favorable prognosis.

A 21-year-old man had bilateral lower limb pain and soreness, dark brown urine after lower extremity training.

Diagnoses: Exercise-induced rhabdomyolysis with AKI.

Interventions: The patient was hospitalized and treated with vigorous hydration for 6 days.
