What better way to kick off ICAST week than with a little controversy? The algorithm has spoken once again, and we have had quite a shake-up in the top 10. The top spots remain similar, but there are some new faces working their way up very quickly. I'm sure we can all agree that this list is perfect and can't be argued, right?

Major League Fishing has reversed the penalty they gave Zack Birge Fishing during their latest BPT event on The Chowan River. Birge asked the tournament director if he could remove his drain plug to fill his boat with water so that he could fit under a bridge. The tournament director gave him the good to go. Later that day, Zack left his boat to unscrew the plug, and MLF forfeited the fish he caught in that area due to him leaving the boat. Ultimately, Zack acted under the assumption that he was good to go given the tournament directors' answer to his question. After investigation, MLF has ruled in the favor of Birge and has reversed his penalty, moving him up a spot in the final standings for the event.

Well that didn't take long... .gill.fishing is one of the sports' rising superstars, and he was able to get his first victory on a major professional tour this weekend on the Chowan River. Gill has fished 5 BPT events and has 3 top 10's and a 1st place finish, along with a win over on the invitationals. Gill has all the right tools to be dominant for years to come, we think he is just getting started!

WE GOT WEIGHTS IN FISH.....again

Did you guys hear about the cheater that stuffed 2.59 pounds of lead into a largemouth during the Sealy Big Bass Bash on Toledo Bend? The unnamed angler fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with fraud and faces a $3,000 fine and up to a year in jail. Is that enough punishment?

The handlebar handles business! is the Stage 4 champion on Lake Eufaula in his home state of Oklahoma! Birge has been on the verge of a 1st place finish for a while now, with 12 championship rounds in his career. He finally broke that ice today, fishing "old school" using a bladed jig and frog in flooded cover.

Thoughts on this? Angler found himself in the center of some controversy after the Open event on Santee Cooper. There was a complaint filed that New intentionally disturbed a bed to prevent another angler from catching a bass he targeted but couldn't get to bite. He released this statement on his page following the confirmation of the DQ from BASS. How do you think was handled all around?

Is anybody really surprised!? gets his second Redcrest title at Lay Lake! Spotted bass were the ticket this week, and the anglers were catching some TANKS, but nobody caught more than DC. His hot streak continues, and had some serious competition coming for World #1, coming from one of his best friends!

Possibly the most entertaining tournament in the last 5+ years! Lake Fork showed out this weekend with some MONSTER bags, and none bigger than , who made history as the youngest angler to ever win an elite event at just 19 years old 🤯. All 10 anglers who made the final day cut made the century club, only the second time in history that's happened. What a show put on by the Elites this weekend!

It was a great weekend to be a ! took 1st place on Toledo Bend for the Elite Series, topping 100lbs. He has established himself as a force to be wreckened with.

This crappie was caught last year and was thought to be a new state record. That was until the Kansas Game and Fish found ball bearings during their x-ray. I guess the guy didn't learn anything from the walleye incident....
