I love it when I get to work with the fantastic crew at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. This collection of professionals with KCPA, KCS, HMX Live & IATSE Local 31 are efficient, truly professional & great to get along with.
I feel lucky to work with them.
This weekend I’m the projectionist for Jurassic Park with music by the Kansas City Symphony. The Symphony just recently returned from a multi country European tour that was a great success.
The Symphony has purchased 2 Christie Griffyn Series 4k35 PJs for this series of Film + Live Orchestra events. They are 35,000 lumens each and we are combining them into 1 AMAZING & robust image on a HUGE 40’ wide by 22.5’ tall screen. First show with the new gear & it has not disappointed!
This is my 3rd of these concerts. Last spring I had the privilege of working “Goonies” & “Harry Potter”. This season I hope to work many more of these concerts.
It’s not too late to join us. They have concerts tonight, tomorrow night & a Sunday matinee.
