The day is finally here! The long anticipated release of the music video for "Dents and Dings" by The Ryan Express.

Interpretations aside, this song was literally meant to be a joke. It all stemmed from an auto body shop in Gladstone, MO. We tried to get approval to shoot in their shop, but it was a no go... they remove dents from vehicles... while the video is quite the opposite... we apply dents, damage, destruction, etc. So we had to improvise a little, and use some fx to create the intended look.

Many thanks to the director, Dorian Price who came with a wealth of creative filming ideas. Of course, Jason Ulanet and Shane Evans, who are my musical partners make a grand appearance! Also thanks to Paul Spacek and Alexander Noury for showing up on the day of filming to participate as some extras.

Although the video took longer than expected to produce, I am proud to say it's done and it will actually be my first official music video! I'll be working with Dorian Price again on more videos to come...

Finally the upgrade is complete. This is the new machine with over 1400 recording/mixing programs and plugins. Installation took weeks. Much more powerful than my old machine. Time to get busy making new music!

The month of January was full of incredible music highlights... I was aired on 3 local radio stations and a couple online radio programs, praised in 2 album reviews, featured in blogs, and perhaps the greatest thing of all... I reached over 6k streams on Spotify with 400 listeners. More to come folks!

I was really curious where all these Spotify streams are coming from so I looked at my Spotify for Artists dashboard. Turns out I'm popular in Finlsmd, and the TikTok 2024 playlist accounts for the majority of all my streams. Interesting as I don't have any videos on TikTok yet. Guess I better do something for my fans. Anyone with good video skills interested in working with me on a music video?
