First, he’s laughing because he’s wondering “why the hell is she videoing me mowing.” 🤣Second, he’s not going to be added as an authorized user on my credit cards because I want to earn referral points for referring him for his own version of the same credit cards. It’s referred to as a 2 player system. This means double the points + referral points. Plus, it helps keep his (and my) 5/24 low because I’m not going to be an authorized user in his cards either. If you don’t have a partner you live with, work with a best friend to refer each the back and forth for flexible point cards that serve both your goals. ✨ Make sure you’re following @pointsandmilesteachers for all the tips and strategies to help you learn to travel for nearly FREE WHILE being financially RESPONSIBLE. 💰⭐️⭐️⭐️ PS He mows our neighbor’s yard while he mows ours and this is his side hustle for business cards, which means even more points for free travel for us!! 🧐👉🏻 If you need more info about what the heck 5/24 is and how to qualify for business cards with super small side gigs, COMMENT “#BIZ” and I’ll send the details to you. #travelmoreworryless #budgettraveller# #frugaltravel #cheaptravels #travelonabudget #travelforless #pointsandmiles #financialfreedom #debtfree #creditcards #pointsandmilesteachers #teacherswhotravel

Nicole here from Points and Miles Teachers. I teach 3rd grade in Missouri, and teaching is my jam! 💛 Follow @pointsandmilesteachers to learn how to leverage everyday budgeted expenses into nearly free travel.
My travel hacking journey began less than a year ago when my significant other had spent months in the hospital, trying to find answers about why his body was failing again due to a rare condition from a chronic disease. Medical bills were racking up, and the stress of life began to wear on our family. Nicole taught me there was a way to turn spending into a way to serve my family.
By putting my spending on specific traveling cards, I could alleviate some of the stress by staying in hotels for FREE when we traveled to the Mayo Clinic for his appointments and surgeries.
Over the summer of 2022, I earned Explorist status with @hyatt, which required spending 30 nights in a Hyatt hotel, and half of those stays were spent in Rochester, Minnesota, for hospital visits. We spent $0 for our hotel stays and saved THOUSANDS of dollars!
Thanks to travel hacking, our family saved over $15,000 this year. We were able to broaden our trips to Disney World, New York, California, Washington DC, Texas, Branson, MO, and several staycations around our hometown, all for nearly free.
In 2022, I learned how to travel hack, spent weeks in a hospital with a sick spouse, and spent weeks of the year traveling with three young kids, all on a teacher’s salary while saving thousands of dollars. If I can do it, You. Can. Too!
I consider myself to be a darn good and knowledgeable travel hacker. I’ve spent countless hours researching, learning from and talking with others, and living my life through the lens of a travel hacker. I give 100% credit to Nicole, the real MVP, as to why I am a successful travel hacker today. She taught me, and we can teach you.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, want to take luxury vacations or simple staycations, or want to travel at some point but do not know when you will be able to take your next trip, WE CAN HELP YOU WITH THE PROCESS! My only regret is not starting sooner because travel hacking has opened up opportunities we never thought possible
