Here’s something kinda cool that I’m excited to share.

A few years ago, in my effort to pivot during the pandemic, I started PapaRonRadio.com. I started a podcast and quickly picked up a client for radio voice tracking nights on KMZU Carrollton, MO. On that website, I list a variety of other services like voiceovers, commercial production and emceeing. In the process of all this, I had a close friend, Kory Rupp introduce me to a boxer with a fascinating testimony. His name is John “The Iron Man” Cantrell . We did a podcast together and that episode was so good and impactful to many. John has had much success in the boxing ring and I’ve tried to attend every match with my friends Kory and Jeremy Fouse . Coming November 23rd in Topeka, John puts all his titles on the line again and earlier that evening, my friend Kory is also entering his first kickboxing fight. AND I’ve been requested to be the official ring announcer for all 13 fights that evening. I’ve emcee’d many events. However, this will be a first. And I’m super excited to add this experience to my portfolio. I’m so grateful for these friendships and opportunities. Just a friendly reminder…

This Venezuela gang take over of an apartment building in Aurora, CO is mind boggling to me. And the problem is, it shouldn’t be this shocking and baffling to me. The writing has been all over the wall (or the lack of a finished wall). No surprise it’s happening in Colorado either….liberal cowards. Why isn’t the community defending themselves? Oh yeah, Colorado is one of the strictest states on gun law. See how this is all working out? I know this post won’t change any minds that differ. But we need to exercise our right to speak out. The other side is really good at that.

Food for thought:

What party has held the White House for 12 of the last 16 years?

What party has held the White House the last 4 years?

Which party has a Presidential candidate that served in the White House the last 4 years?

This party has “led” our country for 12 of the last 16 years. Which 4 years of the last 16 were there no wars, booming economy/stock market and secure borders? Just to name a few…

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

“We the People” run this country. Elected officials work for us. The Constitution wasn’t designed for us to work for them. It’s our responsibility to elect those to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States. We won’t always agree on every issue. Thats the beauty of this country. But we should be able to agree that there are significant foreign and domestic issues in front of us. And both candidates are telling us the issues impacting us on their respective campaigns. Don’t be blinded by the so called media that pushes a narrative from either side. At the end of the day, it’s our responsibility to vote on POLICY that protects our country. The proof is in the puddin’. If they were gonna fix the issues that truly impact our lives and protect our Constitution, they would have done it already in 12 of the last 16 years, including the last 4. But if you want more taxes, higher prices, foreign terrorists pouring through unsecured borders and a socialist ideology that supports men competing against women and using women’s bathrooms and locker rooms, then support “Insanity”… which is defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Long and vulnerable post warning. Last night was special for many reasons. But I have to share something that was extra special to me. By now, most close to me know that I came out a couple years ago about my internalizing depression and anxiety for 3 years. With the encouragement of friends, that inspired my podcast. Last year at the Heartland Premiere, we chose Peace Partnership as the beneficiary for our charity golf tournament and live auction. They provide affordable counseling services for under privileged kids dealing with mental illness. Leading up to that night, I felt challenged within to tell my testimony for the glory of God in effort to possibly serve/help someone needing to hear they aren’t alone. It’s very uncomfortable to share your crap on a stage. That’s not the attention I want. But ultimately, it’s not about me. A year later at the end of the night at the same event, a stranger comes up to me and requests to speak to me in private. The rest of this post in the comments.

We will be teeing off at Adam’s Point Golf Course nearly one week from now to raise as much money as possible for Fore the Kids Foundation to stop mental illness and teen su***de. We will have a couple live auction items the following night at the Premiere and will present a check on stage to Kevin Timmons and his daughter Jenn Timmons, along with other board members. I’m passing this on because I feel called to help a brother of mine, Marc Murphy who has made a big decision that’s bigger than him. I’m so proud of him and Chelsea and I hope you will consider helping them.

Hey everybody - many of you have followed us over the last 9 months and know we have had a lot of big life changes, including taking in our beautiful niece, Matti. While it’s been a bit of roller coaster ride, we’ve ultimately decided to file for adoption as we feel being with us permanently is what’s in her best interest.

With that being said, we’re facing some hefty lawyer and court fees. So many of you have reached out and graciously offered to chip in and help support this legal journey for Matti. And we wanted to now open up the opportunity for those of you who have offered to do just that.

The ballpark we’ve been told is around $8,000

To be very clear, our family is not struggling. This is not to meet bills, to put food on the table, or even to buy diapers. This is solely for Matti’s adoption. Anything extra will be going into a trust for her and her future.

Good friend and PRP guest Kevin Timmons (with a great foundation staff and board) started “Fore The Kids”, which also happens to be the beneficiary of The Heartland Premiere this summer.
