Say what you want about Violent J of the Insane Clown Posse (and yeah, there's a lot to say) but he has been one of the greatest musical creative forces of the last generation, and an actual pioneer in hip-hop.

20 years ago today one of the all time greatest concept/story telling albums hit the streets when Violent J released his debut solo album, "Wizard Of The Hood", an audio retelling of the story contained in the classic film "The Wizard Of Oz"

Wizard of the Hood was released on July 22nd 2003 by Psychopathic Records, peaked at #3 on the Top Independent Albums chart, #31 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and #89 on the Billboard 200.

The album has gone on to become an underground classic, and essential part of Juggalo lore.
