The team at Tidal Echoes would like to highlight an upcoming event for any interested artists and writers in Juneau, Alaska! On November 7th up through the 29th, the City Museum will be holding an event featuring poetry and artworks that celebrate our four-legged friends. Also, if there are any observant Tidal Echoes readers, they may notice a familiar name on this poster! Elise Tomlinson has been featured in our journal before and we are excited to see more of her marvelous work! Please be sure to stop by this event to show your support for the writers and artists in Alaska!

What a launch party! A huge thank you to Corinna Cook and Mark Sixbey for sharing their wisdom and work with us. And wow, do we love seeing our community come out to celebrate art. We had over 100 folks in the room/online to sit together and say: stories matter. Art matters. Gunalchéesh, Southeast Alaska.

First, a big THANK YOU to all who submitted!

We've finally finished tallying up the submissions. We received a total of 351 submissions from 119 artists! 24% of the writing and 44% of the art were UAS students.
If you submitted, keep an eye on your email in March to see if you got in, and watch out for the launch date in April.

It has been so fun working with Tidal Echoes this semester. I hope everyone has a great winter break. I can't wait to see the 2025 journal!
