Homestead office space built on top of 2100 gallons of fresh mountain spring water storage.

The lid of the buried concrete water cistern is literally the floor of the inside of the building. The tank is 6ft deep, 6ft wide and 12ft long. It cost around $2200 for the tank including delivery and placement. You just have to dig the hole for it to be set in. You can find tanks like this from your local “precast” company. Ours came from

I don’t know this for sure but I’ll bet it would cost just as much to have a concrete company come poor a 12ft by 6ft pad for you? If you’re planning on building a little outbuilding with a concrete floor I’d consider this setup. Even if you just set up a simple rain water collection system on the roof of the shed you’re killing two birds with one stone.
