Jerry Charles Williams, 44, Carthage, was sentenced to four years in prison two years ago in Jasper County Circuit Court, the sentenced was suspended and he was placed on probation.

During his probation time, he was trafficking in m**h and fentanyl in North Dakota. The North Dakota judge didn't just hand him a suspended sentence.

In one of his last acts as governor, Mike Parson commuted the sentence of a Kansas City police officer who was serving time for involuntary manslaughter for killing a black man.

According to the prosecutors who convicted the man, he shot a man who was suspected of speeding, after the man was parked and was sitting in his car talking on the phone and then planted a gun to make it appear the shooting was justified.

According to the probable cause statement, a Seneca woman who left eight puppies in a plastic container on someone's doorstep and knocked on the man's door, then took off walking.

He yelled at her that he couldn't take the puppies. She told him she didn't care, according to the statement.
