Atlantic Records laid off 150–175 employees in September 2024 as part of a restructuring and leadership transition:
New CEO
Elliot Grainge will take over as CEO of Atlantic Music Group on October 1, 2024.
New leadership structure
The company is unveiling a new structure to "maximize AMG's cultural impact and strengthen its creative expertise".
Consolidation
The layoffs are part of a consolidation and reorganization of the label group.
Departing executives
Several key executives are leaving Atlantic, including Julie Greenwald, Kevin Liles, Paul Sinclair, Michael Kyser, Sheila Richman, Grace James, and Harlan Frey.
The layoffs are the fourth round of cuts in the Warner Music Group family in about 18 months.
