Three Christmas songs that will cause me to weep like a baby, in no particular order:

Old City Bar - Trans-Siberian Orchestra
The Lord's Prayer - Andrea Bocelli
For All That You Have Done - Rend Collective

Old City Bar because of the presence of simple generosity, the idea of finding community and family in unique places, the image of the grizzled bartender moving out of his familiar spot, and of course the voice of the dude singing.

The Lord's Prayer because I saw it on a PBS special one time, and I never heard it done so captivatingly and beautiful. If your radio goes to a 10, this one needs to be at an 11. And as much as you cannot realistically sing along, go ahead and do so, especially as the final chorus builds on Power and Glory.

For All That You Have Done because it calls me to be simply and unabashedly grateful for God's goodness, to be reminded of His daily graces that I so often forget or take for granted. And because it uses the melody of Auld Lang Syne, it immediately adds a couple potential weeping points because I'm prone to misting up at the end of It's a Wonderful Life.

That's my list. Which Christmas tunes get to you?

~ Ben
