๐ Homecoming Glory: Killingly Trail Blazers Overpower Fitch Falcons 57โ16
KILLINGLY, CT โ The lights shined brighter than ever on Homecoming Night 2025 at Morgan Field, as the Killingly Trail Blazers put on a show for their hometown crowd, rolling past the Fitch Falcons in a dominant 57โ16 victory.
1st Quarter โ A Back-and-Forth Shootout
The opening quarter had the packed Homecoming crowd on edge as both teams traded early punches.
Killingly struck first when Hayden Allard powered through on a rushing touchdown to make it 7โ0. But Fitch responded quickly โ Anthony Spader broke loose for a touchdown, and the Falcons converted the two-point attempt to take an 8โ7 lead.
The Trail Blazers reclaimed control behind Joseph Mackie, who found the end zone on a rushing score. A successful two-point try put Killingly ahead 15โ8. But Fitchโs offense kept fighting back โ quarterback Carter connected with Camrin Lee-Frey on a spectacular 49-yard touchdown bomb, followed by another two-point conversion, giving Fitch a slim 16โ15 advantage after one quarter.
2nd Quarter โ The Momentum Shifts
From that point on, it was all Killingly.
Joseph Mackie opened the second quarter with a 21-yard touchdown run, though the extra point sailed wide. Moments later, special teams made a statement โ Ryan Webster blocked a punt that was recovered in the end zone, swinging momentum fully in Killinglyโs favor as they jumped ahead 28โ16 heading into halftime.
3rd Quarter โ Complete Control
The Trail Blazersโ offense came out firing after the break.
Hayden Allard added to his monster night with a 4-yard touchdown run, followed by a successful two-point try. Quarterback Quinn Sumner then showcased his arm, hitting Callan Senecal for a 20-yard touchdown strike, and later finding Allard again on a 25-yard touchdown pass. Killinglyโs offense was unstoppable, stretching the lead to 50โ16 by the end of the third quarter.
4th Quarter โ Finishing Strong
The Trail Blazers capped the night with one final exclamation point. Joseph Gould rumbled in for a 6-yard touchdown, and Cooper Logeeโs extra point was true โ sealing a commanding 57โ16 Homecoming victory.
Postgame Notes
The win keeps Killinglyโs undefeated streak alive at 6โ0, while Fitch drops to 3โ3.
Homecoming 2025 will be remembered not only for the fireworks on the field but for a complete team performance โ a relentless rushing attack, clutch passing from Sumner, and a defense that locked down after the first quarter.
