INCIDENT TYPE: Untimely Death

INCIDENT LOCATION: area of Water St. Parking Garage, 160 Water St., New London, CT

DATE: 12/01/2025

TIME: @ approx. 4:26 p.m.

INVESTIGATION STATUS: Active / Ongoing

SUMMARY:

The New London Police Department is actively investigating the untimely death of an adult male discovered in the area of the Water St. parking garage.

On Monday, 12/01/2025, at approximately 4:26 p.m., officers responded to the area of the Water St. parking garage, located at 160 Water St., following a report of an unresponsive individual on the Atlantic St. side of the parking garage. Upon arrival, first responders discovered an adult male in critical condition. The individual was immediately transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding this death remains active and ongoing. Preliminary findings indicate the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature, and no threat to public safety exists at this time.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper notification of next of kin.

The New London Police Department is committed to conducting a thorough and comprehensive investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and appropriate.

We received this post from a private group, as you can see the name of it below, and the person who made the post. The first question that I have about this is why didn't "Prez Frank" send me a message asking me this? He said he "certainly hasn't heard anything." Sorry (insert troll name here), my personalized response to you hadn't been mailed out yet.

Why didn't you ask either of the coaches, or better yet, the AD's from either school that were in attendance.

To insinuate that we would "pocket" sponsor money and not give it out is insulting to me, SNSN Sports, Both schools AD's and coaches.

Then, let's go a little further and insinuate that if it was Griswold you would have heard. Guess What, "Prez Frank", a griswold player did win it... so did a Valley player. Oh, and you think that we just cover Griswold? Ok, How about the Valley vs Waterford game? We covered it. Did you miss that too? What about our communication with Plainfield to make sure that we were there to stream and document Morgan Yonush's 1000th point? Did you know there is already a plan in place to stream the game that Brayden Marquis gets his 1000th point this year. These aren't Griswold athletes.

Best of all, did you watch the game that I posted the day after Thanksgiving after I worked 5 hours THANKSGIVING NIGHT until 3 AM editing it to post for grateful people like yourself to view at your leisure.

EVEN BETTER... posting your rhetoric in a group that you didn't think I would see it due to it's privacy settings.

AND THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF ALL... to think that I would, take sponsor revenue and do with it that wasn't ethical. Need to be very careful with slanderous comments.

All of this would be moot if you simply sent me a message saying "Hey Mike, I didn't care to look it up myself on youtube to get my answer, could you let me know what happened with the Player of the Game.

I'll be waiting for your prompt apology. Do the right thing Prez, or Frank, or Frank Prez, or whatever your name is.

For those of you who are curious with what happened to the football game that was to be streamed today we couldn’t because the Internet literally was shut off just as the game started… We tried many methods to kick the Internet back in and nothing worked… The only thing we could do is record the game which we did starting in the second half Which will be posted later on today… Thank you for your understanding. I wish it was a different outcome with the Internet, but unfortunately, it wasn’t anything that we could do.

Plainfield wins 20-19 and makes states.
