So far the rain has held together and is still inching it's way into our area. As you can see the outflow boundarie is pushing into jerseyville now as you can tell by the wind. Be sure to keep a eye on the radar this evening.

A few tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes possible
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will intensify this afternoon and evening,
building eastward along a boundary across central Missouri/Illinois.
Supercells capable of large hail, damaging winds, and a few
tornadoes are possible.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles
north and south of a line from 40 miles southwest of Jefferson City
MO to 35 miles south of Danville IL. For a complete depiction of the

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

We have about a 40% chance we could see a severe thunderstorm watch be issued this evening. The blue circle area is the area of most concern this evening. We do have a warm front in the general area of the solid blue line. We could see a few storms pop along the front. We will have to see as we move into the evening. Keep a eye to the radar.
