Are you all ready for the Big Game Sunday? We hear it is a "super" time to sit down with a "bowl" of chips and hangout. Who are you rooting for: the Chiefs or the Buccaneers? Are planning on representing these teams in any way? We are looking for pictures of any celebrating you might do on a day that in many households is a yearly celebration. The first 5 submissions will be in the upcoming issues of the paper. They must include local individuals and should include their name, what town they are from, and a brief description of what they are doing. Please comment below with your submissions.

We loved the photos of your time in the snow last week. We are especially happy locals kids took advantage of the day and got out to have some fun in the snow. Be sure to check out this week's issue, which includes some of the photos submitted by those in the community.

It feels like winter has finally come, if not evident by what felt like the first significant snowfall of the season this week. Did you jump out into the snow? If so, we would love to see your snow photos. The first 10 submissions will be in the upcoming issues of the paper. They must include individuals and should include their name, what town they are from, and a brief description of what they are doing. Please comment below with your submissions.

👨‍🌾 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾Attention! We are calling on all you local farmers out there for submissions to the Jersey County Journal. 🌽🌽🌽
We are a few weeks into the harvest season, and we are wanting to see your efforts getting ready for the season or out harvesting. From fixing up the combine or actually harvesting the grain🚜, we want to publish your photo submissions to show everyone your efforts out in the fields.
We will publish the first 15 submissions in a future issue of the newspaper (One photo per submission). 🧟‍♀️🧛🏻🧙🏻‍♀️Attention! We are calling on ghouls, goblins, witches, and Halloween enthusiasts for submissions to the Jersey County Journal.🧙🏻‍♂️🧛🏻‍♀️🧟‍♂️
We want to see the spooky and fun scenes you’re setting to get in the holiday spirit this year. Indoor or outdoor, witches or werewolves, we want to publish them so everyone can enjoy them.
So dust off those skeletons in your closet and let your werewolves out of their kennels. It’s time to get spooky!
We will publish the first 25 submissions in a future issue of the newspaper (One photo per submission). The submissions must include the name of the individual or family responsible for the decorations and the town.

Whoooooa, Jersey County!
When we said we wanted submissions, we were not expecting the overwhelming response! You did not disappoint!
You've given us way more photos than we could ever run in a single edition.
Because this is a big year and one we're all going to remember probably forever, we're going to give you all until tonight at 8 p.m. before we close submissions. Then we're going to run these pictures for as long as it takes to get them all into the paper. Not everybody will be able to make it in this week, but everybody will make it in at some point in August or September.
We're so grateful you're all sharing your memories with us, and we're so proud to be a part of Jersey County!
Thank you!

08/24/2020

Thank you SO much for your submissions, we are full! You all submitted well over 100 photos and we are so excited to run them in the coming months. Unfortunately, we will not be accepting any more after this point, but make sure you're following the Jersey County Journal to see future calls for submissions!

Batters up!
JPRD has resumed what sports they can, and there’s lots of little league games happening all over the area. We want to remind you that we’re always accepting sports photo submissions of the our area’s up and coming sports stars!
Just remember to include names and towns of residence for all those pictured in submissions. We’ll run them anytime we have space we need to fill in the paper.

08/19/2020

It’s time for school!
And while we know that the first day is going to look different for everybody this year, we want to see your first day back pictures, regardless of where you’re learning from.
Teachers, show us your classrooms! Students, show us your new back to school gear! Parents, show us you relaxing and watching television for the first time since March! Just kidding, that would probably be a boring photo.
Whether your student is homeschooling, remote learning or returning to in-person classes, we’d love to be able to share your pictures with the community.
Please include names, grade levels and the school the child is attending and make sure all photos do have a human in them.
Thanks so much, and have a wonderful first week of school!
