JATV Media Services The purpose of the channel is to provide informational, educational, and entertaining local programs Hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The station is funded through a portion of the annual franchise fee the city receives from Charter Communications and AT & T. Additional funding comes from grants, donations, and program sponsorship. Non-profit organizations and individuals can provide programs that meet the station’s Rules for Use. Copies of the rules are available at the station and must be signed by all JATV program producers.

The station is located on the lower level of the Hedberg Public Library in the Administrative office area. Evening and weekend hours are by appointment.

The City of Janesville has declared a winter weather emergency beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. A winter weather emergency means that all parked vehicles must be removed from City streets until snow and ice control operations are complete. Please move all vehicles prior to 4 p.m. and keep them off City streets until 7 a.m. on Thursday, February 6.

A wintery mix leading to ice accumulation is forecast to begin in the early evening hours today, Wednesday, through early Thursday morning. City crews will maintain main and arterial streets throughout the duration of the event.

When you’re cleaning up after the holidays, make sure rechargeable batteries and electronics don’t go in your trash or recycling bin. Many rechargeable batteries, especially lithium-ion, can spark when damaged. This causes fires in garbage trucks, at recycling facilities or at landfills.

In 2023, fires heavily damaged three Wisconsin recycling facilities. There are also dozens of smaller fires each month like this one at Outagamie County's recycling facility. You can help prevent future fires by taking your electronics and batteries to drop-off recycling sites.
