Today is a bittersweet day for me… it’s the last day my business will be open. I made the decision a few weeks back to listen to my body and do what’s best for my physical health. And things have moved way faster than expected. I applied for a position last Thursday and got a call the same day for an interview on Friday. Yesterday I received an offer from Parker High School as a Special Education Paraprofessional. I accepted and start there tomorrow! I am so excited about this new adventure! Over the years, I have taken 60 college credits but never completed my degree. I finally am able to use those credits towards something and it feels so good and so right!
Many of you that know me personally know that my son Ryan has Aspergers syndrome (high-functioning autism) and we were in the special education system in Dane and Rock counties for over 14 years until he graduated in 2013. I was always so grateful to the SPED teams at all of his schools for working so hard to help him get to where he is today! And now I get to be on a team to help another parent with their child’s education. That makes my heart so happy! 🩵
To all of the families that supported my business and allowed me into their homes and their personal lives, I can never tell you how grateful I am for you and can never thank you enough. It has truly been my pleasure working with you all!
To all of my family and friends, thank you for believing in me and supporting me on the good and bad days.
And to my hubby, there literally are no words I can say that could ever thank you enough for your love and support the last two years… Thank you for working on your days off to help me complete big jobs and buildouts even when you were exhausted… Thank you for always being by my side and for your encouraging words! You truly are a great man!
Now in the words of my bestie yesterday, I am going to “GO BE GREAT”! Time to start the next chapter in my story… ✏️
