Art teacher Mrs. Kane shared this fantastic image created by 11th-grader Annabelle Richard. The work, titled "Old San Juan," was created using pen and color pencil on paper.

Bonus -- Annabelle received a Silver Key - Drawing & Illustration at the WI-Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Award for this, and it will be on display at the in February!!

In response to the freezing temperatures forecasted, a number of Emergency Overnight Warming Shelters have been activated in Janesville and throughout Rock County.

In state news, we're learning that Jabari, a giraffe at the Racine Zoo, suffered a fall in its holding area and was unable to lift himself to standing again. The zoo reports the giraffe has died after efforts to lift him failed.

The Racine Zoo announced Thursday the death of Jabari, a popular Masai giraffe who had been a fixture at the zoo since 2017.
