On December 19, 2024, at approximately 7:05 PM, officers from the Second Platoon of the Jamestown Police Department responded to a suspicious situation at a residence on the west side of the city.

Upon arrival, officers were addressing a landlord-tenant dispute when they observed Lisa M. Tucker exiting the apartment's bathroom. When asked for her name, Lisa provided the name of another Jamestown resident.

Recognizing this as a false name, officers instructed Lisa to stop. However, instead of complying, Lisa fled the residence on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended Lisa after a short struggle.

Investigation revealed that Lisa had provided a false name in an attempt to evade arrest on an outstanding warrant issued by another agency. Lisa was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident and is currently being held pending arraignment on charges of Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest.

On December 16, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM, members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 216 Forest Avenue, Apartment 1, in the City of Jamestown.

The Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team made entry, locating Tyler T. Dalton and Damion E. Dalton within the residence.

Following the securing of the premises, detectives conducted a search and located a stolen and defaced AR-15 rifle, as well as a second stolen, defaced, and disassembled carbine rifle, both equipped with high-capacity magazines.

Damion and Tyler were subsequently arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Damion, who was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for Criminal Mischief, was charged with:

One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (possession of an assault weapon)

Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (high-capacity magazines)

Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (defaced)

One count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree

Damion is also facing additional charges in Pennsylvania related to burglary and the theft of the fi****ms.

Tyler, a convicted felon, was charged with:

One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (possession of an assault weapon)

Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (high-capacity magazines)

Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (defaced)

One count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree

One count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (possession of methamphetamine)

๐ŸšจMultiple Emergency Incidents Due to Severe Winter Weather๐Ÿšจ

Numerous emergency vehicles ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿš“ and civilian vehicles ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿš™๐Ÿ›ป are currently stranded due to heavy snowfall ๐ŸŒจ and hazardous โš ๏ธ road conditions. Several tractor-trailers ๐Ÿš› have jackknifed, blocking major roadways. As of 10:00 AM Today, December 12, 2024, travel bans have been implemented for the following areas:

-Town of Hamburg
-Town of Orchard Park
-Town of Evans
-Town of Brant
-Town of Aurora
-Town of Elma
-Village of Blasdell
-Village of Hamburg
-Village of Angola
-Village of Farnham
-Village of Orchard Park
-Village of East Aurora
-Town of Dunkirk
-City of Dunkirk

Emergency services report that approximately 50-60 vehicles are currently stranded on Route 20 between Eden and Townline Road in Evans. Due to the severity of the conditions, emergency responders are utilizing specialized, high-clearance armored vehicles to reach stranded individuals.

We strongly advise the public to avoid all unnecessary travel at this time. Stay tuned to local news outlets for the latest updates on road conditions and emergency advisories.

Wreaths Across America's annual cross-country journey has commenced, making its way from Maine to Arlington, VA. As of today, Day 3 of the trip, the es**rt is anticipated to pass through Kennedy and Frewsburg.

The truck is scheduled to exit at the Kennedy exit around 5:15 PM. It will then proceed along Route 62 through the Town of Carroll, turning left at the intersection to continue towards Warren.

December 6, 2024 officers of the Jamestown Police Department responded to a west side address for a larceny complaint. Officers had obtained video footage of a male stealing a package off of the victim's porch. While responding to the area, officers located the male from the video. Investigation by officers discovered that Stefan Howie had stolen the package. Howie was taken into custody and was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was released on an appearance ticket per NYS Bail Reform.

December 3, 2024, around 9:58 pm, Officers of the Jamestown Police Department responded to a southside residence for a report Domestic Dispute. Upon arrival, Officers observed James A. Carter inside of the residence with a female and juvenile victim. It was determined that James had an active Stay Away Order of Protection prohibiting him from being present with the victims. James quickly ran towards the back into the residence. Officers cleared the interior of the residence and located James hiding inside.

Officers placed James into custody without incident and transported him to the Jamestown City Jail. James has a previous conviction for Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and was subsequently charged with two counts of Aggravated Criminal Contempt. James was held in the Jamestown City Jail pending
arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

On December 3, 2024, around 4:34 PM the Officers of the Jamestown Police Department traveled to an address in the city in an attempt to locate a missing juvenile. Upon arrival, Officers located the 15-year-old juvenile who had been reported missing since November 7, 2024. After knowingly harboring the missing juvenile, Danielle Woodworth was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a child and transported to the Jamestown City Jail
without incident.

Tonight, December 3, 2024 around 8:04 PM, Officers of the Jamestown Police Department responded to the Northside of the city for a report of a domestic dispute that led to being physical. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the female victim when she advised that Christian A. Horta-Romero (26M) fled the scene. After further investigation it was discovered that Horta-Romero strangled the female in the kitchen and then in the bedroom where she lost consciousness for a short period of time. Officers located Horta-Romero shortly after and was taken into custody without incident. Horta- Romero was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was charged with Strangulation in the Second Degree. He is being held pending arraignment.

On November 30, 2024, Officers of the Jamestown Police Department responded to a residence on the north side of the City for a gunshot complaint. During the investigation, Officers discovered that Skyler J. Tritapoe (29M) had fired a shotgun at a male nearly striking him. Skyler had also fired an additional round into the ceiling of his residence. Officers were able to get Skyler to exit his residence where he was taken into custody without incident and recover the shotgun.

Skyler was transported to the City Jail on charges of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree and is being held pending arraignment. The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by Chautauqua County Sheriff and the New York State Police.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Mourns the Loss of Battalion Chief John P. Walsh

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Battalion Chief John P. Walsh. Chief Walsh tragically succumbed to a medical emergency while commanding a fire suppression operation in the East Hills neighborhood on the evening of November 20, 2024. He was 60 years old.

A dedicated public servant with 37 years of service to the City of Pittsburgh, Chief Walsh was a respected leader and a skilled firefighter. He was known for his strategic mind, unwavering courage, and compassionate spirit. His loss is a profound one for the Bureau of Fire and the entire community.

"Chief Walsh was a true hero, a mentor, and a friend," said Fire Chief Darryl Jones. "His commitment to duty and his unwavering dedication to protecting the citizens of Pittsburgh will be deeply missed."

The Department of Public Safety extends its deepest condolences to Chief Walsh's family, friends, and colleagues.

On November 22, 2024, at 12:37 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a call for assistance from Child Protective Services (CPS) at a residence on the cityโ€™s west side. A home check conducted by CPS revealed deplorable living conditions. Due to the severity of the situation, the Department of Development (DOD) was also notified.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested: 25-year-old Fernando Mojica Reyes and 37-year-old Mariangel Velazquez Rosario. Both were charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor. After being transported to the Jamestown City Jail, they were held pending arraignment and subsequently released

On November 18th, 2024, around 11:55 am, members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 21 Hazzard Street (Basement Apartment) in the City of Jamestown. After entry was made, Collin A. Slack and Nakeya I. Hardy were located inside of the residence. After the residence was secured, Detectives searched the property and located a Springfield M1 Garand, a replica pistol, 20.5 grams of co***ne, 11.5 grams of fentanyl, 16 Clonazepam pills, a quantity of suboxone strips, $313.00 in U.S. Currency, and digital scales.

Slack, who is under the supervision of New York State Parole, and Hardy, who had numerous outstanding warrants from the Chautauqua County Sheriffโ€™s Office and Town of Ellicott Police Department were arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Slack and Hardy (both convicted felons) are charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, three counts Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and one count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia. Both were arraigned this morning and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.

The Jamestown Police Department assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Dunkirk Police Department, and Ellicott Police Department.
